Does it work offline?
Voice runs on‑device, so responses don't depend on the network — it keeps talking in tunnels and on patchy 4G. Maps cache for the cities you drive most; the first time you drive a city, allow a few minutes of mapping data, then Saarathi works without a connection.
Does it use Google Maps under the hood?
No. Routing is our own, built on OpenStreetMap plus community‑mapped lanes. Voice and language understanding are our own models, trained on Indian code‑mixed speech.
Is it free?
Free through the private beta. Final pricing will be announced before public launch — a free tier for personal use is planned.
What about my data?
Voice processing happens on your device, so what you say doesn't leave your phone. Saved places are private to your account. We don't sell location data — that's not a marketing line, it's how the product is built.
